JCP chair places wreath on A-bomb monument in Hiroshima

August 7 & 9, 2022

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo on August 6 placed a wreath on the atomic bomb monument at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima City and prayed for the victims of the A-bombing of Hiroshima 77 years ago.

Along with Shii, JCP members of the House of Councilors Inoue Satoshi, Yamazoe Taku, and Nihi Sohei, former member of the House of Representatives Ohira Yoshinobu, JCP Hiroshima prefectural assemblymembers, and JCP Hiroshima City assemblymembers participated in the offering of flowers.

JCP Koike offer flowers in Nagasaki

Japanese Communist Party Secretariat Head Koike Akira on August 8 offered flowers to a monument at Nagasaki Peace Park in Nagasaki City in order to commemorate the victims of the U.S. atomic bombing of Nagasaki.

JCP member of the House of Representatives Tamura Takaaki and Motomura Nobuko, member of the House of Councilors Nihi Sohei, and a JCP Nagasaki prefectural assemblyperson also placed a floral tribute.
