Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Shii Kazuo and JCP Executive Committee Chair Tamura Tomoko on October 2 attended a reception hosted by the South Korean Embassy in Japan at a Tokyo hotel, celebrating South Korea’s National Day.

Shii, a House of Representatives member and an advisor to the Japan-ROK Parliamentarians’ Union, and Tamura, also a House of Representatives member and a vice-chair of the union, congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Japan, Lee Hyuk, and had conversations with participants from both inside and outside Japan.

In addition to the two JCP chairs, Secretariat Head Koike Akira, a member of the House of Councillors and a standing executive member of the union, and Tamura Takaaki, a member of the House of Representatives and an executive member of the union, took part in the reception.
