On centennial of Korean Independence Movement, Japan should reflect on past colonial rule

One hundred years ago on March 1, the Korean independence movement broke out against Japan’s colonial rule on the Korean Peninsula. This was a burst of long held in criticism against Imperial Japan which annexed Korea in 1910.

We can't go on any longer: franchise owners' union requests collective talks with 7-Eleven

Representatives of a union of convenience-store owners visited the Seven-Eleven Japan head office in Tokyo and made a request for collective negotiations over store closures and a reduction of 24/7 store hours.

Money used to buy 6 F-35s would eliminate the number of children waiting to enter daycare centers

The purchase of just one F-35 fighter would correspond to the construction of as many as 90 authorized daycare facilities for children. With money saved from not buying just six F-35s, the number of children waiting to enter daycare facilities would drop to zero.
