Shii condemns N. Korea’s frequent missile launches

May 30, 2017
North Korea on the morning of May 29 launched a ballistic missile that may have fallen within Japan’s exclusive economic zone in the Sea of Japan, the Japanese government announced on the day.

This was the third launch in May alone following the previous one on May 21.

Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo issued a comment in protest against North Korea’s frequent missile launches. Shii condemned the North for endangering the safety of fishing boats and commercial ships and planes in that area.

Shii in his comment called on the governments of Japan and nations concerned to step up their efforts, including the strengthening of economic sanctions, to resolve the North Korea issue through dialogue.
