October 5, 2022

The international community needs to urgently make concerted diplomatic efforts to prevent the DPRK from further intensifying its military provocations
October 4, 2022

Japanese Communist Party Executive Committee Chair Shii Kazuo

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea today launched a ballistic missile over Japan into the Pacific Ocean. The Japanese Communist Party strongly condemns and protests against this reckless act as it undermines peace and stability and is in violation of a series of United Nations Security Council resolutions prohibiting the country from conducting nuclear weapons-related activities including ballistic missile tests.

Recently, the DPRK has repeatedly conducted missile launch tests, stating publicly that it is promoting nuclear weapons development. In order to prevent the country from further intensifying its military provocations, it is urgently necessary for the international community to make diplomatic efforts in a concerted manner.
