The Okinawa Police on August 13 arrested a U.S. Marine belonging to USMC Camp Courtney in the prefecture on the spot for drunk driving after a crash involving injuries to a Japanese driver and child passenger.

According to the police, 22-year-old Corporal Eduardo Sebastian was arrested at around noon on the day. He drove his car under the influence of alcohol and collided with another vehicle at a prefectural road intersection in Okinawa City. Alcohol level, five times greater than the legal limit, was detected on his breath. In the collision, the other driver, a woman, 41, and her 9-year-old girl suffered minor injuries.
