Fuwa-CPC theoretical talks end

April 25, 2009
Theoretical exchanges held in Beijing between Fuwa Tetsuzo, director of the Japanese Communist Party Social Sciences Institute, and Communist Party of China representatives ended on April 24.

In the final session, Fuwa answered questions raised by participants from the CPC regarding how the global economic crisis of capitalism might affect a socialist economy and about the positive as well as negative aspects of a socialist economy in the face of an economic crisis.

Fuwa said, “China will face various challenges on its way to achieve socialism. The key to overcoming difficulties and coping with challenges will depend on progress in public awareness of the nature of socialism,” and stressed that it is important for the party in power to work with the public.
