Ichida greeted the visiting speaker and Ambassador Seyed Abbas Araguchi and expressed his hope that Iran will take the initiative in abolishing nuclear weapons and establishing peace in Asia and the rest of the world.

Iran will chair a Non-Aligned Summit conference in 2012.
