Japanese Communist Party Chair Shii Kazuo issued a statement titled, “Stop genocide in Gaza – a call on governments concerned to work for a halt to military attacks and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza”.
The Kishida Cabinet approved a 17-trillion-yen economic stimulus package which includes a tax cut of 40,000 yen per person. However, the proposed tax cut will be implemented only once in FY 2024.
The All-Japan Federation of Automobile Transport Workers’ Unions noted that 80% of countries which introduced ride-sharing have decided to ban this service due to a frequent occurrence of sexual violence and other crimes during the use of the service.
