Japanese Communist Party member of the House of Councillors Yamazoe Taku attended a French National Day reception held at the French Embassy in Tokyo on July 14 to celebrate Bastille Day, a major event associated with the French Revolution.

Yamazoe offered his congratulations to French Ambassador to Japan Beatrice Le Fraper du Hellen and had friendly conversations with both domestic and foreign guests.
