Spring Struggle starts with unionists calling for elimination of poverty through nationwide action

The 2008 Spring Struggle for higher wages and better working conditions began with union members taking action at 350 locations throughout the country.

Stressing that there is no marked difference between the LDP and the DPJ as far as the basic issues are concerned, Shii said, “The JCP will make efforts to fundamentally change Japan’s political structure.”

JCP Shii condemns ruling bloc for forcibly enacting anti-terrorism special measures law

Shii pointed out that the law goes against the will of the majority of the public, that it is unconstitutional and harmful to the effort to eradicate terrorism, and that it has been pushed by those who are involved in the defense scandal.
