The JCP condemns the U.S. Trump administration's attacks on Iran

On June 21, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. had carried out airstrikes on three nuclear sites in Iran. This action in collusion with Israel, ignores calls from both within and outside the U.S. to halt the unprovoked attack on Iran and constitutes an unlawful military action that severely undermines peace and stability in the Middle East and the world, clearly violating the United Nations Charter and international law. The JCP strongly condemns this reckless attack and demands an end to further attacks.
The attack on nuclear facilities violates numerous international laws, including the Geneva Conventions, and raises serious concerns about potential humanitarian damage to nearby residents and regions across Iran’s borders. Destroying the only viable path to resolving the nuclear issue -- namely, diplomatic and peaceful means -- in collusion with Israel is an outrageous act that can never be tolerated.
The JCP strongly urges the international community to take urgent action to prevent further escalation of the war and damage, and to firmly demand that Israel and the United States exercise restraint and comply with international law.
