Japanese Communist Party Central Committee Chair Shii Kazuo on April 2 on his X account commented on a televised address which U.S. President Donal Trump delivered the previous night regarding the U.S.-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.
Shii criticized Trump for praising the war despite the fact that it violates the UN Charter. He also condemned Trump for making threats against Iran by saying: “We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the Stone Ages, where they belong,” and “If there is no deal, we are going to hit each and every one of their electric generating plants.” Shii pointed out that the president irresponsibly said that countries affected by the Strait of Hormuz crisis should “go to the Strait and just take it” while failing to show a path to end the war.
Shii said that President Trump’s totally irresponsible, arrogant, and outrageous behavior must not be tolerated. He demanded that the U.S. immediately stop its attacks on Iran, hold negotiations to terminate hostilities, and fulfill its responsibility to restore peace and stability in the Middle East.
