Tamura and Yamazoe attend meeting held between cross-party Japanese and South Korean lawmakers

June 11, 2026

Executives of the Japan-South Korea Parliamentarians’ Union met with their visiting counterparts in the Diet building on June 10, exchanging views on recent Japan-ROK relations and the future activities of both parliamentary leagues.

Japanese Communist Party Executive Committee Chair Tamura Tomoko (an advisor to the union) and JCP Diet Policy Commission Chair Yamazoe Taku (a standing director and a vice chair of the union’s committee on legal affairs) attended the meeting.

They held cordial discussions with Joo Ho-young, chair of the ROK-Japan Parliamentarians’ Union, and Min Hong-cheol, the union’s secretary general.
