US citizens call on Japanese gov’t-funded bank to stop investing in problematic LNG project in Texas

A group of U.S. citizens living near an LNG plant in Texas, in which a Japanese government-funded bank and Japan’s large corporations are investing, demanded a halt to the investment as accidents and air pollution caused by the plant continue to endanger residents’ lives.

FIFA set record-high prices for the 2026 World Cup and created a profit-driven system with no checks and balances. It is depriving football fans of their right to watch the games. The fans are being sacrificed for profit.
